The Broad (Brown) Stair consists of 10 hardwood prisms ranging from 1 cm x 1 cm x 20 cm to 10 cm x 10 cm x 20 cm.
This series of prisms demonstrates to the child the change in width (breadth), while the length of 20 cm remains constant.
Further practice with the Broad Stair indirectly prepares the child for concepts in plane geometry, area and volume.
Material: Solid Beechwood. A spare 1 cm x 1 cm x 20 cm prism is included.
